
Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and its partners adopt the following activities for the 2011-2012 school year:
1 . Photo Contest: Saturday, March 10th, 2012 (09 to 16h).
Application for obtaining the ecolabel "Blue Flag" beaches for the 2012 season.
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection launched the campaign labeling Green Key 2012 to the tourist accommodation establishments until 28 February 2012. New and winners candidates may send their applications by post at FM6E to the address below.
Within the framework of the program "Eco-schools" led by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental protection, the Oued El Makhazine school saw itself awarded on Wednesday, December 14th, 2011, the label " Green Flag " accompanied with certificates to all the directors implied in this program " Eco-schools ", and in recognition of their environmental initiatives. This demonstration took place in the presence of the pupils of establishments recently registered accompanied by their teacher.
1)- Introduction
The Coastal Conference held in Tangier in October 2010 under the presidency of Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, resulted in a number of recommendations, including the organization of Days for the Coast designed to raise awareness for the protection of our coastal heritage.
On Thursday, December 08th, 2011 was a special day for the school Ibn Khaldoun in Casablanca, where was given the launch of the granting of the Green Flag, at the certified schools of the Academy Education of this city for the season 2010-2011, namely: Ibn Zaydoun schools, Ibn Khaldoun, Abou Al-Kassem Achabi and Lalla Malika. At the same time, were distributed the certificates of merit, at 16 schools committed in the program of eco-schools led by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection.
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection signed an agreement with the Mediterranean Cooperation Centre (IUCN-Med) to implement the project: Building capacity of young communication professionals in North Africa.
The main objective, managed by the Foundation, is to improve the capacity of journalists working in sustainable development in the Mediterranean by providing information and understanding about climate change, renewable energy, the importance of forest ecosystems, and the most relevant approaches.
The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection (FM6E) participated to the national days of studies of the National Association of Elected Representatives of the coast (ANEL), which took place from October 19 to 21 in Sables d'Olonne, on the theme "living in the coast"
The ANEL (700 communities) met to discuss new regulations on risk prevention and appropriate elected officials in coastal development, and that resulted following the dramatic events of the Xynthia storm in 2010 . Other issues such as the pressure exerted on land up to 50 km inland, the choice of economic activity restricted to an area as sensitive as the coastline, and the representativeness of elected coast in the National Council of the Sea and coasts (CNML) which follows the National Council of Coast, and in the National Councils of coastline, have been widely discussed.
Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection, in partnership with the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, the Professional Training and Scientific Research, launched the 11th edition of the "Young Reporters for Environment "under the theme: the green economy and responsible consumption.
Six written reports and six photographs were awarded during the 10th edition of the Young Reporters for the Environment competition, which was launched by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, in collaboration with the Ministry of National Education, Higher Education, Professional Training, and Scientific Research.
The chosen topic for 2010/ 2011 was “My health depends on my environment.”
The FM6E participed to the event held by the Association Doukkala in El Jadida city from 20th to 25 th July, under the patronage of HRH the Princess Lalla Hasnaa President of Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection.
The theme of this edition is: Marine environment, problems, efforts and Perspectives.
