Sensitizing for the protection of the Littoral : Workshop of starting of the project of support to sustainable development bay of Eddahab Wadi

 

Within the framework of the implementation of its sensitization programs and education to the environment, the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental protection (FM6E) organizes on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the Wilaya of Dakhla, the workshop of starting of the project of support to the sustainable development of bay of Oued-Eddahab , in partnership with Wilaya of Oued- Eddahab-Lagouira and with the support of the Agency for the Promotion and the Economic and Social development of the South Provinces of the Kingdom and the Halieutic National Research Institute.

 

This project falls under the continuity of the publicity campaigns already engaged by the FM6E, on the site of the Bay (Clean Beaches, Eco-school, Young Reporters for the Environment , Green Key and Eco-company) by integrating the protection of the coast through various programs, such as defined in the recommendations of the International Conference of the sustainable management of the coast, organized on October 9th, 2010 in Tangier, with and chaired by HRH Princess Lalla Hasnaa.

 

 

The workshop aims in addition to emphasize the dimension of sustainable development in the projects carried out on the site of the Bay of Oued-Eddahab while living harmoniously ecological and economic and social considerations.

 

This workshop, which will see the participation of the local actors involved in the management of bay of Oued-Eddahab, will be focused on the presentation of the programs and projects engaged by the departments concerned. The goal is to federate the whole of the speakers for a sustainable and environmental management of this exceptional site and a great biological and ecological interest from its biodiversity, its natural framework and its geographical location.

 

This workshop will also aim the identification, the division, the diffusion of the good practices and respectful technologies of the environment, through an awareness program and education for sustainable development.
