The Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection (FM6E) chaired by
Her Royal Highness Princess Lalla Hasnaa, has organized an informational and collaborative seminar on January 24 starting at 9 am at the Golden Tulip Farah in Marrakech. The seminar is for Green Key award winners and is organized in partnership with the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT).
This seminar is part of awareness efforts implemented by the FM6E with ecotourism development as the main objective by supporting and promoting best environmental management initiatives in the tourist accommodation sector.
It will be an opportunity for the international Green Key ecolabel award winners to inform, exchange and increase knowledge. The FM6E manages this label on behalf of the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). FM6E has been a FEE member since 2002.
The FM6E also takes this opportunity to introduce the new FM6E web portal www.clefverte.ma, which will be officially launched at the end of January. This new portal is an essential tool to support the tourism industry that aims to adopt an environmental management approach. The web portal will bring the FM6E image and message to a wider audience: tourist accommodations professionals, public institutions, private economic operators, NGOs, environmental experts and consultants, etc.
Nearly 60 Green Key winners throughout Morocco will be present at this meeting.
The international Green Key ecolabel is the first network of environmentally friendly and ecological tourist accommodations throughout member 28 countries (Europe, Asia, etc.), awarded by the international Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to 1,500 certified facilities.
