With this Convention, education for Sustainable Development, extended throughout one of the principal programs of the Foundation: the Eco-schools program implemented in primary schools from 2006.

Indeed, in middle and high schools has been implemented in 2002 by the Foundation in partnership with the ministry of education, the young reporters for environment program.

The regional and provincial coordinators participating, which have amongst other duties the two programs in the 16 academies of the Kingdom, are essential relays for the development and success of these programs. This is the context of the workshop that allowed building their capacities especially in the organizational, managerial, implementation of Eco-schools and YRE at the local level, and the tools to perform training of enrolled primary, middle and high schools, following the action plan agreed on jointly with the ministry.

Also, among the important moments of these training, a working session allowed an exchange on the implementation of these programs, and sharing best environmental practices developed by the different enrolled schools in the five themes (water, energy, waste, biodiversity, and nutrition) and the different educational approaches to transmit the journalistic techniques of the YRE program.

Eco-schools is an international program of the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) launched in Morocco by the Mohammed VIFoundation for Environmental Protection, that will celebrate it 10 years in 2016 with more than 1300 schools enrolled to the program. The YRE contest also created by the FEE and managed by the Foundation is in its 13th edition with more than 150 written reports and photographs awarded at the national level and 18 winner works at the international level.
