Meeting organized with the Wilaya of Marrakech
Struggling against air pollution and reducing gaz discharges have been the main discussion points in the meeting held on the 19th March, 2005 , at the headquarters of the Wilaya of Marrakech. This meeting which was organized in collaboration with Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of Environment and which was attended by the Wali of the Marrakech-Tensift- Al Haouz Region, representatives of local autorities and the different concerned departments, was an occasion to deal with technical matters and try to find out the measures to be taken in order to reduce the pollution effects in the different urban centres of Morocco in general, and Marakkech in particular. Thus, the Foundation has presented the outline of this ambitious program, calling back that the different achieved studies have shown that the great Moroccan urban centres suffer from a high level air pollution caused mainly by the road traffic and industrial pollution.
